YOC Guidelines
1. The Roller Skating Party is to be open to all ages.
2. Each CYC should bring a first aid kit to the events which they sponsor.
3. Tuition cost for teachers is to be paid out of the conference fund.
4. Each CYC and it’s ecclesia should be responsible for the cost of the activities the sponsor; with the exception of public facility costs. (For example, if you decide to have an event of rock climbing, you can charge each CYCer the fee for the day.)
5. The beach party is to be open to all ages.
6. All publicity will be sent out four weeks in advance of the activity. For conferences there will be two mailings: the first four to six weeks before the conference, and the second two weeks before the conference.
7. If financial assistance is needed for those attending a conference from a distance, the cost is to be split proportionately between the local CYCs based on the number attending the conference from each CYC.
8. The cost of the Senior Citizen’s Dinner *Age Mixer* is to be split and billed proportionately to the ecclesias, based on the number of seniors and CYC members from each ecclesia at the dinner.
9. Any CYC which feels that they, or their ecclesia, cannot afford the cost of a YOC event, is free to solicit donations from the other CYCs in the YOC.
10. It was decided that in the future the expectations for behavior at conferences should be distributed in advance, and that counselors should introduce themselves to the young people at the beginning of each conference.
11. The cost of conferences is to be reviewed annually at the YOC Planning Meeting, and set prices for the upcoming year.
12. It was decided that we should raise the amount that could be charged for the conference photos to a maximum of $5.00.
13. It was decided that we should have the young people pre-register for conferences. The pre-registration will be done by head counselors of each ecclesia, and the numbers will be forwarded to the sponsoring ecclesia so that they can make appropriate plans for the conferences.
14. The age of those attending YOC activities is to be thirteen and up. Only appointed counselors and teachers, CYC members and their friends, and those of CYC age from out of the area may attend YOC conferences.
15. If an individual has a question regarding how the YOC Rules and Guidelines apply to a specific event, they shall first address their question to the head counselors or arranging brethren of their home ecclesia. If the home ecclesia finds the request to be well founded, then they shall bring the matter to the head counselors or arranging brethren of the ecclesia who is sponsoring the event, which shall have the final say.
16. It was decided that the counselors will be individually introduced by name and ecclesia at future conferences.
17. It was decided that each CYC will provide a description of the events they plan to sponsor to the YOC President shortly after the planning meeting., These descriptions will aide the arranging brethren of the sponsoring ecclesias in approving the planned YOC activities for the coming year.
